How to create a drop
Create a drop when you want to offer a menu for collection. You can sell on one date or add several collection dates to the same drop.
Before you start
It helps to have your items and collection location ready. You can also create them while building the drop. Complete Ready to sell before trying to open for orders.
What to do
- Open DropsCreate a dropStart from scratch. A new draft opens for you to work on.
- In Info, enter a title and description, then add a cover photo.
- Add at least one Collection window, selecting the date, start and end times, and location.
- Open Collection time settings to set slot spacing, collection capacity and order lead time.
- Set when Orders open and Orders close.
- Continue to Menu and choose Add items. Select the catalogue items to offer, arrange them into sections and set the quantities you can make.
- Continue to Schedule. Review reminders, visibility and checkout options.
- Expand the drop summary and complete any outstanding drop or selling checks.
- Schedule the drop when ready, then check its status in Drops and open View online shop to review it.
What happens next
The saved drop appears in Active when scheduled and opens at the ordering start time you chose.
Good to know
Changes save automatically, so you can close the editor and return to your draft later. One drop has one ordering closing time across all its collection dates. For example, if Tuesday and Friday need different deadlines, create a separate drop for each date.
