Complete an item’s food information
Add the food information customers need before they pay, including the base recipe and any customer choices.
What to do
- Open the item and select Food information.
- Choose how the food is packed: after an order, packed by you before an order, a prepacked retail product, or unsure.
- Enter the full Ingredients, including sauces, fillings and toppings.
- Tick each allergen used as an ingredient. If none apply, explicitly select None of these allergens are ingredients.
- If you selected cereals containing gluten or tree nuts, choose the specific cereals or nuts shown. Add useful allergen notes if needed.
- Complete Other allergens to record your assessment of possible cross-contact. If you choose Yes, select the applicable May contain allergens.
- Complete Storage and eating. If instructions are needed, enter them in the field provided.
- For retail prepacked food, complete the Product label fields shown. Expand Option additions and check ingredients and allergens added by each choice.
- Review the information, tick I’ve checked this food information when it is accurate, select Back, then save the item.
What happens next
The item’s Food information summary shows its packing, ingredients, allergens and checked status.

Use the actual recipe, packaging and preparation arrangements for your food. The checked declaration is required before selling. If a required part is missing, complete it before trying to confirm the information.
