Give individual choices their own stock limits
Track a limited choice, such as a filling or topping, separately from the main item.
What to do
- Open Items, edit the item and select Customer choices.
- Open the group’s actions menu and choose Edit.
- Turn on Enable inventory for this group and review the inventory explanation beside the switch.
- Save the option group, then save the item.
- Open the drop where you will sell the item and go to Menu.
- Open the item’s Inventory and limits and set the option quantities shown there.
- Choose Update and check the limits before taking orders.
What happens next
The inventory-enabled choices have limits for that drop.
Good to know
Enabling option inventory makes the group eligible for stock tracking. Set the quantities on the drop rather than treating the catalogue switch as a stock amount.
